  • Allison Holcumb, New Approach Washington. Allison spoke to us about Initiative 502. Gave us a run down about the issue.  Took questions from us.

  • Endorsements-initiative 502-license, regulate and tax marijuana. The 43rd  approved the endorsement of Initiative 502 by voice vote. It receives our endorsement.

  • Resolutions & Motions
    • A motion amending the budget to create a $200 line item for Occupy Seattle. –proposed by Ginamarie Emanuel. Motion to table the resolution until the January meeting. Passed by voice vote.
    • A motion amending the budget to add $400 to line item 5010 (General Meetings) and $500 to line item 6010 (sample ballots)-proposed by Chris Maryatt, Treasurer.  Passed by voice vote.
    • Against the Closer of Social Security Offices in Belltown and the International District-proposed by Imogene Williams.  We voted to consider the resolution. Ginamarie offered a friendly amendment to strike the word “handicapped” and replace it with “disabled.” Passed by voice vote.
