An Illinois native, Scott Forbes has played several roles in the 43rd District Democrats since moving into the district in 2007. In 2008, he served as a precinct committee officer (PCO), an area caucus coordinator, and a delegate to the state Democratic convention. In 2009, he was elected secretary of the 43rd, stepped into the role of vice-chair for PCO recruitment in 2010, and was elected chair of the district in 2011.
Scott moved to Seattle after spending a year in Los Angeles, Calif., where he worked to defeat Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s anti-union ballot initiatives, and before that he lived in Sydney, Australia, where he was the local leader of Howard Dean’s 2004 campaign and the national vice-chair of Democrats Abroad Australia.
Scott is a small business owner, having co-founded a software development company, and lives in Montlake with his wife Therese and their dog Lady.
