43rd District Democrats of Washington

The new executive board met for the first time on Sunday, January 30 at Newmark Tower in downtown Seattle to outline goals for the 43rd District Democrats in the year ahead

During the four-hour meeting, Chairman Scott Forbes discussed revenue and spending patterns for the district over the last several years. He then asked the board to set fundraising and recruitment goals for the year that will ensure financial solvency through the upcoming caucuses, which are always a major cost to the district.

"I think we have a very strong board this year, we had a fantastic goal-setting discussion and brainstorming session," Forbes said.

The board agreed on a fundraising goal of $12,500 for 2011 and to recruit 250 new members to the district.
