Responsibilities

  • Serve on the Executive Board.

  • Act as “CEO” for the District.

  • Represent the District in the King County Democratic Central Committee.

  • Represent the District in the State Chairs Organization.

  • Develop agenda for, and preside over General meetings and Executive Board meetings.

  • Preside over legislative caucus meetings (on even years).

  • Lead development of organizational goals.

  • Assure development of annual retreat.

  • Assure Executive Board members are aware of their roles and fulfilling their responsibilities.

  • Sign approved PCO forms and forwards to King County Democrats.

  • Provide oversight of Treasury.

  • Respond to Executive Board members’ questions and concerns.

  • Make appointments as indicated in the bylaws.

  • Create ad-hoc committees as needed and sets expectations for work.

  • Represent organization with the media and in the community.

  • Assure implementation of policies of the 43rd District Democrats.

  • Assure bylaws are followed, including meeting notices and endorsement procedures.

  • Develop and maintains relationship with 43rd elected leaders and other Democratic

    officials.

  • Serve as point of contact for the District and directs people and work to appropriate officers.

  • Serve as point of contact for elected officials and candidates.
